Mary Zimmerman is directing a production of Eurydice at New York's Metropolitan Opera.

The adaption features a libretto based on Sarah Ruhl’s 2003 play and music by Matthew Aucoin.

“Eurydice” at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City runs from Nov. 23 through Dec. 16. Audiences around the world will be able to watch the opera live in select cinemas on Saturday, Dec. 4 as part of The Met: Live in HD series.
